Will Altrient C cause an upset stomach due to the high level of vitamin C?

Altrient C uses liposomal encapsulation, which helps reduce the gastrointestinal discomfort that can occur with high-dose vitamin C. However, some people may still experience mild digestive symptoms, especially if taken on an empty stomach.

Why does Altrient C contain soy?

All Altrient products are manufactured in the USA. While sunflower lecithin is more common in the EU due to farming practices, soy is more prevalent in the US. Phospholipids, essential for liposomes, are naturally obtained as a by-product of soy processing, whereas sunflower extraction requires a more specialised method. Altrient C uses highly purified, non-GMO soy lecithin to form its liposomal delivery system, ensuring optimal vitamin C absorption with no residual proteins.

Is Altrient C safe for children?

Altrient C is intended for adult use only.

Can I take Altrient C while pregnant or breastfeeding?

Altrient C should not be used if you are pregnant or breastfeeding except on the recommendation of a medical professional.

Why does Altrient C contain alcohol?

A small amount of ethanol is used as a natural preservative and stabiliser in the formula. The amount per dose is minimal, precisely 0.68ml—less than what you’d find in a ripe banana. Tests conducted with Eurofins have shown that the alcohol can evaporate by leaving the product open to the air for a short time before consumption.

How to take Altrient C

Expert tip: You can also gently stir the gel into a yogurt.

Squeeze.

Take one sachet on an empty stomach, preferably first thing in the morning to help maximise absorption. Squeeze the contents into a shot glass with around 20 ml of water or fruit juice.Don't use too much water - just as much as you can swallow in one small mouthful.

Swirl.

Altrient liposomal gels don’t dissolve like powders — so don’t stir with a spoon or try to blend into a smoothie. The fatty, hydrophobic outer membrane is what keeps the nutrients protected. Instead, gently swirl the glass to help loosen the gel from the sides and make it easier to take.

Drink.

Drink it in one go! The water acts as a vessel, minimising the natural taste and texture. If these don't bother you, you may prefer to take it directly from the sachet. Wait 15–20 minutes before drinking any hot beverages to preserve the integrity of the liposomal structure.
